New Faces and Energy! Continued Mission!
Welcome to the home of the Nashville Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). Our non-profit organization has been serving African-American journalists in the metro Nashville area for more than twenty years. As an affiliate chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists, we are happy to provide a place for Middle Tennessee African-American’s working in the media.
Our organization works in conjunction with the national board of directors to ensure that we are providing quality programs and support to all of our professional and student members. We will use all social media tools available to make media professionals aware of job opportunities, conferences, seminars, and special events.
The NABJ is open to all media professionals! We have members in Public Relations, Public Affairs, and Media Relations. Our members are in print, TV, online and in the literary world. We are innovative journalists, with an eye toward leveraging the Internet and its unique storytelling capabilities. Among our ranks are social media practitioners, digital content producers, and multimedia experts.
Our chapter has monthly meetings that are open to those who wish to become members or would like more information on our organization. To learn how to become a member please visit our join page.
Our mission is to strengthening the ties among African-Americans working in the media and expanding and balancing the media’s coverage of the African-American community and experience.
